The Lady Thrive Initiative is a core component of the women empowerment program managed by the KBN Helping Hands and Wellness Foundation, a registered Non-Governmental Organization in Uganda. The project focuses on the overall empowerment, health and financial independence of vulnerable women and girls in the community.

The key pillars of the initiative include;

Economic independence: Through the Lady thrive initiative, KBN provides vocational skilling, entrepreneurship training and access to resources for the vulnerable women in the rural communities of Buikwe, Nakaseke and Wakiso Districts to enable them achieve long-term self-sufficiency.

Health and wellness: The organization offers holistic wellness support, health care access and medical outreach targeting vulnerable mothers and adolescent girls in the most marginalized areas of Najja sub-county, Kiyindi Zone and Buikwe Town Council in Buikwe District.

Rights and advocacy: This mainly focuses on educating women on their rights, promoting freedom from domestic discrimination and advocating against gender-based violence (GBV).

Community resources: This is conducted through hosting outreach events often in partnerships with other Women’s Rights Organizations in Uganda such as the Uganda Women’s Network (UWONET) centered around community activism to deliver vital resources and build supportive networks for localized impact.
